The city of Ludhiana is well connected through any modes of transport, and because it is an important commercial center in the state of Punjab, reaching Ludhiana is very easy indeed. You can either opt for trains that run directly to Ludhiana or you can also opt for buses. It is 320 km from Delhi and takes approximately 5 hours by road. There are heaps of trains connecting from all parts of country to Ludhiana through Delhi. One of the best options is to take the superfast Shatabdhi express leaving Delhi in the morning and evening. Takes about 4 hours and one meal and tea is served on the way. Else take the night deluxe buses from ISBT in Delhi.


Indian Society of Remote Sensing-Ludhiana Chapter (ISRS-LC) is one of the chapters of ISRS, Dehradun. The ISRS-LC housed at Punjab Remote Sensing Centre in Punjab Agriculture University (PAU) Campus, Ludhiana centrally located in Punjab, is well connected across the state with all concerned. ISRS-LC has more than 100 life members and 25 annual members across Punjab state. The Ludhiana chapter has put excellent efforts to popularize the Remote Sensing technology in the region by regularly organizing seminars, workshops and lectures on Remote Sensing and Geospatial Technologies. Due to these significant contribution in achieving the mandate and goal of ISRS, the chapter has been conferred "Best Chapter Award"in 2015.
Punjab Remote Sensing Centre (PRSC) is an autonomous organisation under the Department of Agriculture, Government of Punjab, is the apex body in the state for all Remote Sensing (RS), Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS) and Environmental and Disaster Management related studies. related works. It is designated as a Nodal Agency by the Govt. of Punjab for geospatial needs of the state and also acts as the centralized hub for the geospatial data to all the user departments
